As I was taking this picture, I couldn't help but think of my mom. She loved the sound of water falling. There are so many times that I wish I could show her some picture I've taken that I thought she'd really like. She was the one who taught me to open my eyes and see the world that God created. She taught me to see things for myself and not simply accept someone else's perspective. She taught me that it's okay to turn the world upside down because then I'd see something that I wouldn't have seen when the world was predictable.
Mom, thanks for turning my world upside down. Life was never "normal" or average with you. And I'm so glad for that. Look, I took a picture for you today.
